Do you have a storefront?
We don't have a brick a mortar storefront, but we do participate in several farmers markets around the valley. You can click on the locations link to the left for more information. You can also order candles from our website and choose to pick them up at one of our farmers market locations free of charge.
Do you deliver if i'm local?
We don't deliver personally, but we do offer free shipping on orders over $40.00.
Can I request a rush delivery on an order?
As a handmade candle company, we have to make all of our products before we ship them to you. Because we already guarantee that all orders will ship within two business days we are already rushing the processing time as fast as we can. If you would like to request a faster shipping option however such as overnight or second day, please contact us by phone at 602-885-8101 to place your order.
Can I request a scent for a candle?
Yes you can! We now have a scent request form on our website so our customers can let us know what scents they would like to see. Testing time for a new scent can take
1-3 months and has to meet our stringent requirements before it is allowed to be sold to our customers. If you request a scent we will try our best to make that scent available for you.
Why can't I find a scent that I previously purchased?
We have probably discontinued the scent for one reason or another. Just e-mail me and I will see what I can do to get that particular scent for you.
If I knock over a candle, how do I clean up the wax?
First off I want to say be very, very careful in an effort to prevent this from happening. The dye that is in the wax can and probably will stain any soft surfaces it comes in contact with. To remove the wax from soft surfaces, first scrape away as much as you can manually, than cover the wax with a brown paper bag and use a hot clothes iron on the area until the wax had melted and absorbed into the bag. You can attempt to remove any leftover die from the area by dabbing with denatured alcohol (test for color fastness first), than sponge with water. To remove the wax from hard surfaces, simply scrape the wax off, a bench/pastry scraper works great for this. And to clean up any dye residue on hard surfaces only, a bleach solution or cleaner works best for me, or you can try denatured alcohol on surfaces that bleach may stain.
Can the candle jars be reused, and if so how do I clean them?
The candle jars can be reused for many purposes, and they are in fact marketed by Libbey as drinking glasses when sold without lids. To clean the jars for reuse I generally use a sponge, a good liquid dish soap, water, and a little elbow grease. I would not recommend putting the jars through the dishwasher without prewashing them by hand though. I's possible that the soy wax may not play well with your dishwasher.
Do you take back empty candle jars and tins?
We do take back empty candle jars and tins for recycling. For each jar or tin you bring back with a lid, you get $.50 off of your candle purchase. You can find more info on our recycle rewards page.
Didn't you used to make palm wax jar candles?
Candeo Candle made palm wax candles in jars from 2007-
early 2011. We reluctantly decided to discontinue them and switch to soy wax after our main supplier stopped carrying the wax and the price of palm wax more than doubled for us. However, this turned out to be a good thing for us, because we love soy wax, and have grown to love it even more since we've been working with it. It burns longer than palm wax, and still has the same clean burning properties and amazingly strong scent.
Do you use metal in your wicks?
We don't use any metal of any kind in our candle wicks. Our wicks are madee with cotton interwoven with a paper filament. We chose are wicks because they work well with vegetable waxes like soy.
Do you use any paraffin in your candles?
We don't use any paraffin or petrochemicals of any kind in our candles. Our container candles are made with pure soy wax that has been blended with a touch of natural beeswax. Our pillar candles are made with palm wax.
